§ 2-131. Fiscal year.

(a)

The fiscal year for all departments of the city shall begin on July 1, and expire on June 30 each successive year.

(b)

The city manager shall prepare and submit to the mayor and council a proposed annual budget for the city by no later than May 1, of each year, which budget, an amended form thereof, or a substitute budget, shall be considered and adopted by the mayor and council prior to the beginning of the new fiscal year.
